Goros has only been closed for two months, but it feels like an eternity since we tasted their crunchy-tender karaage chicken, whet our palettes with a Sake Bomb or belted out our best rendition of I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Whitney 4EVA).

The Surry Hills bar is reopening this weekend with a total makeover and double the original capacity. That means more room on the dance floor for everyone to watch you whip.

There's a new menu, private (and free) karaoke booths, old school arcade games and a sake and cocktail list that's on point. Try the Sumo in a Sidecar, made from sake, apricot brandy, lemon and peach bitters. Actually try them all. The venue is open until 3am, so you'll have lots of time to sample sake and eat all the beef short ribs.

Re-opening party is this Saturday from 6pm. Get there early as there are free drinks and menu tasters up for grabs until 8pm. Le Fruit DJs will be on the decks for those keen to dance. But we know where you'll be: smashing plum wine and trying to beat the high score in Pacman.
